Get children eating more fruits and veggies by having them plant a garden and grow their food. When children help create something, it gives them a sense of pride and are more likely to try new things.
One way to do this is to grow a pizza garden with your little ones. A pizza garden can be grown in a raised garden bed or even in containers on a porch. In your garden, plant the following:
Cherry Tomatoes –
Red and Golden varieties
It can be used to make Pesto too!
You can add other color peppers to make a more vibrant pizza and garden!
Be sure to add any other family favorite Veggies in your garden even if it won’t go onto your pizza! Here at Pettengill Academy, we are growing zucchini, peas, carrots, brussels sprouts and cucumbers as well as tomotoes.
